Yesterday at the beach I ate my first crab... was quite good but I didn't really know how to "open" it ;)

Hoi An

...is a beautiful town with a river going through it and nice small and ancient houses. It has several historic influences Chinese, Japanese, French and of course Vietnamese.

Funeral in Vietnam / Beerdigung auf vietnamesisch...

... wir dachten zuerst, wir wuerden eine farbenfrohe Prozession verfolgen, als bunte Waegelchen (im Bild andeutungsweise zu sehen) an uns vorbeizogen, gefolgt von einer dichten Menschenmenge (natuerlich wieder die Mopedfahrer unter uns...) Aber dann sahen wir den Sarg. Die Blumen auf dem Bild hatten viele dabei. Von einer anderen Reisenden hoerten wir, dass der Leichnam im Haus des Verstorbenen ein paar Tage zuvor schon aufgebahrt war und man von aussen ins Haus reinschauen konnte....
